Well, it's the season of Graduations. I decided I'd post a picture from my graduation to commemorate. Admittedly, I'm a proud 2006 graduate, but eh.
Ok starting from the top. What moron designed those hats?!
Anyway, this is how I learned the hard way that 'wear your hair DOWN' is an unspoken rule of graduation. But NOOOOOO I decided I wanted to be "different". So I put my hair up. In the twisty meatballs, as
is prone to calling them. My crazed ridiculous mortarboard hat in this picture is jauntily perched between the two marks of stupid hair decision and I spent the long photo op walk praying it would stay there.
Now for all the collars. The white one on the bottom is the National Honor Society sash. Which I had to return.... The Yellow Sash is my Agricultural Education/FFA sash. Please say you're still my friends even after I've admitted that? Please? Anyway, the yellow cords are awarded to all my school's grads. Blue and Yellow were my school's colors. "National Blue" and "Corn Gold" are the FFA's colors. Apart from one other student who bought a 2006 necklacey sash thing, I was the most decorated student.
That diploma I'm holding? It's actually just the empty case. They withheld our diplomas until after the ceremony because they needed something to threaten us with so we wouldn't throw our caps. Now, I might be wrong...but isn't that like...a graduation tradition?
Now then, I don't even care for fashion, and I can tell you that the fashion police should have beaten the person who designed that sad and sorry thing they call a gown into submission before submitting such a tragedy to the world. I'm really not a shapeless blue blob. I promise. Actually under that monstrosity, I've got a real gown, a really pretty white one. Too bad ya can't see it.
Oh and another thing you can't see are the heels I wore. They pwned the universe. Light-up heels. Needless to say, I had the COOLEST shoes for Prom and Graduation.
So congrats to the class of 2007!
